F.A.Q. | IL DISCO DIAMANTATO DEVIA IL TAGLIO ?

FAQ | Does the diamond blade deflect the cut?

When the diamond blade deviates during the cutting process it can create several problems. In addition to putting the operator's safety at risk, this problem could lead to damage to the material that needs to be cut. When cutting finishing materials (e.g. ceramic and stone) this phenomenon becomes annoying as it causes a break or chipping in the "tile" and consequently a less than perfect job in the manufacturing phase.

THE CAUSES could be three:

  1. The diamond blade has its segments worn on one side only
  2. The diamond blade is not perfectly aligned with the cutting direction
  3. The steel core is worn or crooked ( click here to read our article on core wear )

THE SOLUTIONS are as follows:

  1. you need to try to "re-align the segments" with the help of an abrasive wheel. if the segment is too damaged, it is advisable to replace the entire tool
  2. Check that the disc has been mounted correctly, check that the material to be cut is stable and still during the execution. (for water cutting: check that a film of water has not formed between the bench and the cut material as this could cause slight slippage).
