F.A.Q. | IL DISCO DIAMANTATO NON TAGLIA?

FAQ | DIAMOND DISC DOESN'T CUT?

FAQ | Diamond blade not cutting? Are you having problems using your diamond blade? Did you think your tool would cut stone, marble

concrete or asphalt but can't even cut canned tuna?

We can say that more than 90% of the problems encountered using diamond blades are caused by an unsuitable use of the material to be cut.

But what are the causes and solutions if your disc DOES NOT CUT?

THE CAUSES could be three:

  1. Applying too much pressure to the material being cut will cause the diamond part to polish.
  2. You are cutting a material that is too hard or vitrified causing a kind of smoothing of the diamond part.
  3. You are cutting a material with a diamond blade that is too hard. A classic case where an Asphalt diamond blade is used for cutting concrete.

THE SOLUTIONS are as follows:

  1. Do not press during the cutting phase and observe if the diamond segment revives naturally. Try to pass your finger on the part of the diamond segment in contact with the material (Wait for it to cool!!!), you will immediately notice if the segment is smooth or rough. (The rough indicates that the diamond has naturally come out of its metal matrix)
  2. If the diamond blade does not revive naturally, read our mini guide on how to revive a diamond blade
